Protection of personal data in the whistleblowing procedure

A webinar on the topic "Protection of personal data in the whistleblowing procedure" organized by the project was held on 14 August 2020 in order to improve the work of persons authorized to receive information and conduct procedures related to internal whistleblowing.

These persons are responsible for protecting the identities of possible whistleblowers, but also for those who are marked as violators in these reports, as well as for protecting their personal data from leaks to the unauthorized persons and public.

Lecturers at the webinar were Milica Andric, a lawyer and senior consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Serbia. and Vladimir Radomirovic, editor-in-chief of Pistaljka. They presented basic concepts in the field of personal data protection; interplay between the protection of personal data and the protection of whistleblowers, and the main challenges in their joint application as well as a practical application of relevant regulations through work with participants in the prepared case study.

The representatives of numerous ministries and the Anti-Corruption Agency, authorized to receive information and conduct procedures related to internal whistleblowing attended webinar.

In the next period, the project will organize numerous events/webinars in accordance with the epidemiological situation due to the COVID-19 epidemic in the country.
