Managing Priorities and Time
Better time management opens the possibility for public administration to better organize its work, become more effective and creative, and above all to meet the needs of citizens in the right way and at the right time
The workshop “Priority and Time Management” aimed at alerting authorized persons, was held on 18 February 2020 as part of the project activities.
Previous workshops on the implementation of the Law on the protection of Whistleblowers, which have taken place during the last year, have highlighted the importance and the need for further improvement and the so-called the "soft" skills of persons authorized to receive (and continue to act) information on the whistleblowers. Of course, one of them is the management of priorities and time, since authorized persons most often perform a large number of other duties in their organizations.
The concept of "time management" is increasingly finding its place in the list of skills needed by public sector employees, not just in the private sector. Since time is one of the resources that cannot be bought or controlled, the only thing we can do is (better) manage ourselves.
Better time management opens the possibility for state administration to better organize its work, become more efficient and creative, and above all to meet the needs of citizens in the right way and at the right time. Given that the Law on the protection of Whistleblowers sets deadlines for action, as well as important information, this type of training can help authorized persons to better manage their priorities and thus act appropriately.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, the Custom Administration, the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Ministry of Defense and the “Pistaljka”.
The following training for authorized persons will be about stress management and assertive communication.
